NYPAS Charity Review Program

A BBB Charity Review provides confirmation of a charity’s ethical practices by a highly respected accrediting organization. Meeting the comprehensive BBB Wise Giving Standards for Charity Accountability helps position organizations to succeed and also encourages confident charitable giving.

You can begin your organization’s BBB Charity Review in 3 easy steps:

Step 1: Click here to download the NYPAS Charity Profile Questionnaire.

Step 2: Complete the questionnaire and compile the requested materials.

Step 3: Mail the completed questionnaire along with its accompanying materials to the address below.

Mailing Address:
NYPAS
Better Business of Metro New York
30 East 33 Street, 12th Floor
New York, NY 10016

Once NYPAS receives the information:

A NYPAS Charity Analyst will review the information you submit and contact you if any additional information is needed. We will then create a draft report and send it to you for your approval. You will have a chance to review your report and request any changes prior to it being published on our website.

Congratulations, you’re done.

Your report will be available in our website at www.newyork.bbb.org or www.bbb.org. If your organization meets all 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability you will be eligible to participate in the New York BBB Charity Seal Holder Program (for a modest fee, based on charity size) which allows your organization to use the BBB logo in its fundraising materials and website.

If you encounter any problems downloading our forms or have any questions, please send an email to NYPAS@newyork.bbb.org with your name, the name of your organization, and your mailing address, or call 212.358.2815.

Thank you for Participating!
