A Year-End Message from Claire Rosenzweig
|
As we draw closer to the dawn of a new year, I wish to thank you, our Accredited Businesses, for your support of the BBB and for your commitment to advancing trust in the marketplace. The need for marketplace trust was never more apparent than in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. As home and business owners labored to recover from the storm, it was gratifying to know that BBB could help them find businesses they could trust to help them rebuild and charities to which they could give with trust.
On behalf of your entire team here at the Metro New York BBB, I wish you the happiest of holidays and a peaceful and prosperous New Year. |

Give with Trust: Tips for Wise Charitable Giving |
December is a critical fundraising month for charities. Individuals and businesses often make year-end charitable contributions in the spirit of the season (or sometimes simply for the tax write-off). Either way, BBB urges donors to give wisely by researching charities before they give. Information on over 10,000 charities is available online at ny.give.org. Click below for tips to help donors give wisely and to avoid scams. [Read Tips]
