Nonprofit Disaster Response Efforts
NY Attorney General's Report on Sandy Related Fundraising and Spending
In an effort to promote transparency and donor confidence, and to ensure that funds raised for Sandy relief are properly used, the New York State Attorney General's Office sent letters to nonprofits requesting information on their fundraising and relief activities related to Hurricane Sandy. The Attorney General's Charities Bureau has compiled responses to these letters for public review which can be accessed in the link below. Note: these are charities who responded to AG Scheniderman's request for information; they are not necessarily BBB Accredited Charities:
