Martin S. Zwerling, Associate Director of Operations & Case Management, joined NAD in September 2000. Martin has successfully resolved disputes relating to Internet advertising and the advertising of health aid products, computer hardware and software, telecommunications, dietary supplements and household consumer goods. Martin has also successfully argued before the National Advertising Review Board.
Prior to joining the NAD, Martin served as a Senior Court Attorney with the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Department, where he conducted research and drafted confidential memoranda for the Justices of the court on a wide variety of civil and criminal appeals. Martin has also served as a free-lance editor for Matthew Bender & Company, Inc.
Martin brings to the NAD an extensive advertising and promotions background beginning with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Advertising from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Martin's professional advertising credentials include positions at such top New York advertising agencies as Grey Advertising and Bozell, Inc. Martin also served as Advertising and Promotions Director for RKO/Warner Video, where he developed and implemented award-winning advertising and promotional campaigns in conjunction with such studios as CBS-Fox, Warner, MGM/UA, and HBO. Martin has also worked overseas as an educational program supervisor, designing and coordinating audio-visual and graphic design seminars for worldwide distribution.
Martin received his law degree from Touro Law Center and is a member of the State Bar of New York. He is a published law review author and recent co-author of Self-Regulatory Techniques for Threading the Antitrust Needle, Antitrust, Summer 2004, Vol. 18, No. 3 American Bar Association (Antitrust Law Section).
