Annie M. Ugurlayan is a Senior Attorney at NAD. Annie joined NAD in December 2003 and has worked on, among other things, a variety of cosmetics and nutrient-related cases.
Prior to joining NAD, Annie worked in the advertising law department at Davis & Gilbert LLP, conducting insurance related research on long-term projects. Annie was also an associate at O'Hare Parnagian, LLP where she worked on commercial disputes, personal injury cases and real estate transactions. As a law student, she interned with the Honorable Michael Orenstein, Federal Magistrate Judge, and the Honorable Jacob Mishler, Senior Federal District Judge (EDNY), for whom she drafted bench memoranda and opinions on civil and criminal cases, as well as for the Business and Securities Fraud and Violent Crimes Divisions of the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Annie is a member of the Foreign and Comparative Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association and other local and national bar associations. She is the author of Armenia: Privatization and Foreign Direct Investment in a Climate of Political and Economic Instability, Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review, Vol. 23 (3) (2001) and the co-author of Self-Regulatory Techniques for Threading the Antitrust Needle, Antitrust Vol. 18, No. 3 American Bar Association (Antitrust Law Section).
Annie is a graduate of Hamilton College (B.A., magna cum laude in French and World Politics) and Hofstra University School of Law. She is fluent in French and Armenian and proficient in Romanian.
